Litters

A male and female bald eagle stay together as a pair throughout their lives. They often make their nest at the top of a tree. Each year they nest on the same nest. In the spring, they make their nest a little bigger again by adding branches. Such a nest can eventually grow up to three meters wide and weigh 900 pounds!

Hunting

A bald eagle eats mostly fish. It hunts from the air. When it sees prey, it dives down. As it flies over the water, it grabs its food with its strong claws. Besides fish, bald eagles also eat waterfowl and sometimes meat from dead animals.
