Stuck

The blue mussel lives in salt water where there is low tide. It attaches itself to a hard surface, such as the rock bottom, a wreck or to another mussel. A mussel attaches itself with strong threads that it makes with proteins from its body. The threads are white and sticky. In seawater, the threads become hard. This is how a mussel stays attached throughout its life.
