    Big, bigger, biggest

The Nile crocodile is the largest crocodile species in Africa. Like all crocodiles, it continues to grow throughout its life. The older it gets, the slower it grows. A male Nile crocodile can grow up to six meters long and weigh about 1,000 pounds. Females are usually smaller than males.
