Strong bond

Red-crowned crane couples stay together throughout their lives. By regularly dancing together, involving many bends, big jumps and head movements, they strengthen their bond.

Large bird

The males and females of this species hardly differ from each other. They do not differ in size either. At over 1.5 meters in length, the Red-crowned crane is one of the largest birds in the world.
