AquaZoo expands with new animal species!

AquaZoo began a massive expansion this week! A brand new crocodile enclosure is currently under construction. Here AquaZoo will welcome four Nile crocodiles before the summer! AquaZoo is of course very happy with this expansion and the arrival of these special animals.

New residence

Nile crocodiles are very dangerous animals, but visitors to AquaZoo will soon be able to touch one! In fact, in addition to four real Nile crocodiles, there will also be a fake crocodile at the edge of the enclosure. This will allow visitors to see up close where a crocodile's eyes and ears are, the size of its teeth and stroke its rough skin.

Of course, the opening of the new enclosure and the arrival of the crocodiles will be celebrated extensively with all kinds of activities. Exclusive activities will also be organized for annual pass holders. Keep an eye on the website for all updates!

Nile crocodiles

Nile crocodiles can advance smoothly both on land and in water. By moving back and forth with their tails, they can reach up to 30 kilometers per hour in the water. But they also move quickly on land. By moving like a hare, they can reach up to 17 kilometers per hour! The Nile crocodile usually hunts alone. He sneaks towards his prey, which he then grabs with lightning speed and drowns in the water. It eats its prey on land, since it cannot swallow underwater.
