Stay of dinosaurs at AquaZoo extended by week due to success

The twenty lifelike roaring dinosaurs at AquaZoo Leeuwarden are staying an extra week. The colossal animals, which were actually supposed to stay until Oct. 30, are so popular that the Frisian zoo has decided to extend their presence until Nov. 6.

Since the start of the Dino Weeks on Sept. 16, more than 25,000 visitors have already seen the prehistoric animals. "Dinos continue to capture the imagination," notes Jeroen Loomeijer, general manager of AquaZoo. "We see that our visitors really like the addition. During the fall break, many people have already been able to admire the dinosaurs, but we also want to offer enthusiasts who haven't had the opportunity to visit these weeks the chance to see them. That's why we're sticking another week on."

In the park, visitors can come face to face with a six-meter Tyrannosaurus Rex, an eight-meter Wuerhosaurus and an Apatosaurus as large as nine meters, among others. Some of these prehistoric animals can also move and make sounds. These dinos are normally on display at World of Dinos, Europe's largest dino expo.

At all the creations, which are scattered throughout the park, there are signs with information about the eating habits, habits and way of life of these prehistoric animals
