Free visit to AquaZoo Leeuwarden with pake and beppe during spring break

From Monday, February 21 through Friday, February 25, children up to and including twelve years of age can visit AquaZoo Leeuwarden for free when showing their pake or beppe (or another adult). AquaZoo, as almost the only non-museum, participates in the action of Museum Federation Fryslân 'Help Pake & Beppe De Vakantie Door'.

Jeroen Loomeijer, general manager of AquaZoo: "Grandparents are often asked to babysit during spring break when parents are at work. Frisian museums and archives, together with Museumfederatie Fryslân, therefore founded this action week twenty years ago. And to make the choice a little more diverse, we as a zoo are also happy to participate in this week. This way we hope to give children and adults a fun day during spring break."

Tracking timeThe theme of this edition of the action week is "What a Time. AquaZoo has developed a scavenger hunt especially for this, where children go in search of time, using questions such as "how long does a seal stay underwater" and "how fast is a giant otter". Unraveling the scavenger hunt gives them a chance to win a meet & feet for two at AquaZoo.

Pakes and beppes, or another adult, may bring four children per person upon presentation of their purchased entrance ticket. The exact terms and conditions can be found at www.aquazoo.nl/pakebeppe. At AquaZoo, all corona measures are applied, allowing everyone to have a day out in the outdoors in a safe and responsible manner. To ensure that everyone enters the park in a pleasantly dispersed manner, it is important to reserve a time slot in advance
