Record number of visitors for AquaZoo

AquaZoo Friesland has set another visitor record. Last year, as many as 155,000 visitors came to spend a day at the green, wetland animal park. This more than broke the record of 130,000 visitors in 2016. This high number is due in part to the expansion and arrival of large Nile crocodiles in AquaZoo's Binnendoar.

General manager Jeroen Loomeijer: "We are extremely proud of this record. Through investments in our facilities and new animal enclosures, we are seeing huge increases in visitor numbers and high guest satisfaction."

In addition to the addition of Nile crocodiles, polar bears came to the park the year before. Last year's renewed membership in the Dutch Association of Zoos (NVD) enables collaborations in the areas of breeding programs, housing and sharing of experience within recognized zoos. All these developments all contribute to the quality of AquaZoo, resulting in a still growing flow of visitors to the park.
