Thirty artworks by art group Atteljee exhibited at AquaZoo

AquaZoo is currently hosting an exhibition by Art Group Atteljee. A total of 30 paintings are hanging in the park in Leeuwarden, created by fourteen artists.

The artworks were created by people who are distanced from the labor market. One of the artists is Julia, who took her inspiration from the red pandas at AquaZoo. "I think the red pandas are super cute animals, which is why I chose to paint them. I also immortalized the ring-tailed lemurs and a beaver on canvas," Julia says.

Fantastic works of art"It is great fun to work with this target group and see our zoo through their eyes. The results are surprising and above all fantastic. I am extremely happy that we can currently display these works in our park," said general manager Jeroen Loomeijer.

In addition to the red pandas, ring-tailed lemurs and beavers, works of art by the crocodiles, polar bears and swamp turtles, among others, are on display at AquaZoo. "The exhibition shows surprisingly varied works. This makes sense because our group of artists is varied from young to old, all with different backgrounds. Bonding is their inspiring workplace and AquaZoo was certainly that," said Froukje and Dirk of Art Group Atteljee. The exhibition of Kunstgroep Atteljee can be seen at AquaZoo Leeuwarden until February 27, 2022.
