AquaZoo gets another visit from 20 lifelike dinosaurs this fall

AquaZoo will once again be taken over by colossal animals this fall. As many as twenty lifelike roaring dinosaurs will be on display at the park in Leeuwarden from September 16 to October 30..

During Dino Weeks a six-meter Tyrannosaurus Rex, an eight-meter Wuerhosaurus and a nine-meter Apatosaurus will take up residence in the park. Jeroen Loomeijer enthusiastically commented, "It is of course fantastic that our visitors will once again come face to face with these giant dinosaurs. Some of these prehistoric animals can also move and make sounds, which makes the experience even more special." These dinos are normally on display at World of Dinos, Europe's largest dino expo.

Water dinosaurs
Many of the animals at the park in Leeuwarden like to live in or around water. Some of the dinosaurs coming to AquaZoo also lived in a watery environment. For example, the Mosaurus, with its huge jaws and sharp teeth, was the most deadly predator in the sea. It hunted fish, squid and even other smaller Mosaurs. Marine reptile Plesiosaurus could also be found in the sea. Its large lower body and long neck allowed it to catch fast prey such as fish. In addition, Baryonyx also liked to eat fish. It used its huge thumb claws and razor-sharp teeth to catch fish from the river. He lived on the banks of rivers.

At all the creations, scattered throughout the park, there will be signs with information about the eating habits, habits and way of life of these prehistoric animals.

Children's party
It is also possible for children to celebrate their children's parties at AquaZoo. Loomeijer explains, "Children can take a closer look at the dinosaur world here with their friends. Based on a Dino Quest, they can search for the creations in the park."
